YPG Committee is Looking for New Members: APPLY NOW

The Young Professionals Group has had an eventful 2021, given the ever-evolving challenges of the present times. The Group showed resiliency in its continuous effort to host informative webinar sessions and virtual networking opportunities, and in its strong presence at the ASTTBC Virtual AGM & Conference this year.
The Group’s main objective remains to help mentor young ASTTBC professionals who are early in their career development by providing relevant webinar and networking opportunities and a place for discussion on the Group’s Discord channel – a voice, video and text communication service used by people to hang out and talk with their colleagues and communities.
In 2022, the Group will continue with its online activities such as educational webinars, and is currently gauging interest in returning to in-person networking events. Feel free to join the Discord channel to stay up to date on all things YPG.
The Young Professionals Group (YPG) steering committee is also looking for additional members who are under 40 years of age OR have less than 10 years of work experience to help brainstorm and manage upcoming directives for the YPG. There are opportunities for leadership roles and growth within the committee.
The committee is low in commitment as it meets virtually once a month for 30 to 45 minutes to discuss and plan the activities for all YPG members. The time spent on the committee can be claimed toward registrants’ annual CPD hours/points requirement.
Whether you have existing ideas on ways to improve the Group or are simply looking for to bolster your resume, the YPG committee is a great place to gain experience and meet like-minded individuals. If you’re interested, please reach out to asttbcypg@gmail.com with your name and contact info to discuss this opportunity.
