Underground Utility Locators

ASTTBC Registered Utility Locator Technician (RULT)

ASTTBC registered utility locator certification program, is the first of it’s kind in BC, is designed to recognize the competencies of locators who work in various industries and to deliver an enhanced level of public safety.

ASTTBC Registered Utility Locator Technicians provide the ground disturbance community and others with the confidence needed to complete projects efficiently and safely. When retaining utility locator services, be sure to use ASTTBCs RULTs.

Registrants each have a minimum of 2-years of work experience including work on complex locate projects and must meet occupational competencies as outlined in ASTTBC’s UUL Certification Policy. Successful candidates are identified by the professional designation RULT.
