Practice Review Board

The Applied Science Technologists and Technicians Act states the “Objects of the association” includes “to regulate standards of training and practice of, and for its registrants, and to protect the interests of the public; to establish, maintain and develop standards of ethics among its registrants”.  In that regard, the Practice Review Board is charged with the mandate and responsibility of the enforcement of the ASTTBC Code of Ethics,  development of practice standards and adherence to “best” practices by registrants.

Section 4.0 of the ASTT Act’s Regulations defines registrant scope of practice, the function of the Practice Review Board and role of a Discipline Committee.

Complaint case histories dealt with by the Board are available.
