ASTTBConnect Issue 155: Military Training & Transferable Skills Recognized in Applied Science and Engineering Technology
The latest issue (No. 155) of ASTTBConnect, our quarterly publication, is now available. It focuses on the recognition of military training and transferable skills acquired in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and their application to technology careers across Canada.
There are many jobs in the CAF that create direct pathways to becoming a technology professional. CAF members and veterans possess numerous skills employers value, which is one of the reasons ASTTBC has partnered with other provincial regulators, associations and stakeholders and developed a national gateway to attract under-served groups such as military personnel in to the applied science and engineering technology sector. This gateway includes various educational videos and sector-related information along with application requirements.
Traditionally, this issue also includes an update from our President, David Sparanese and CEO, Theresa McCurry, a spotlight story and much more.
This and past issues are archived on the ASTTBConnect web page. For any questions or comments, please contact Petra Petlanova, editor at email@example.com.
