About the Foundation
More than half-a-million dollars has been provided by the ASTTBC Foundation since 1990 for post-secondary technology students and for Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) education activities in British Columbia.
ASTTBC Foundation operates as an independent charitable organization established to receive donations from ASTTBC members and friends, and in turn, to provide support for applied science and technology education and awareness for residents of BC.
ASTTBC Foundation Bursaries and Awards Available through College Awards Offices
To be eligible to receive an ASTTBC Foundation bursary or award, you must be a full-time student and a member of ASTTBC. The ASTTBC Student Membership is FREE. To apply, click here.
ASTTBC Foundation provides thousands of dollars annually to colleges and polytechnic institutes in BC to award to students in ASTTBC recognized programs. To determine if your program is eligible, please click here.
ASTTBC Bursary for a High School Student who is a Child/Grandchild of an ASTTBC Member
To be eligible to receive this ASTTBC Foundation bursary, you must be a full-time student and a member of ASTTBC. The ASTTBC Student Membership is FREE. To apply, click here.
One $1,000 bursary is offered directly from the ASTTBC Foundation each year to a Grade 12 student. To apply, submit the following:
- Your name, address and other contact information.
- Name and registrant number of your parent/grandparent who is an ASTTBC member.
- Name of your high school and confirmation you are in final year of high school.
- Recent course marks.
- ASTTBC recognized program and institute or college you plan to attend. To determine if your program is eligible, please click here.
- A brief statement on your career goals (max 100 words).
Note: The recipient of this ASTTBC Foundation bursary will be notified by October; however, the bursary cheque is only issued after proof of enrollment in an eligible technology program is received.

ASTTBC Foundation Support for Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Events
The ASTTBC Foundation supports community events for K – 12 students that promote applied science, technology, engineering and math education and awareness in BC. Science and technology event organizers in BC should contact ASTTBC Foundation, c/o Anne Sharp at firstname.lastname@example.org with details of their event. There is no fixed application deadline; however, event sponsorships are provided by ASTTBC Foundation based on the merits of the event relative to other applications and based on the annual Foundation budget, which follows the calendar year.
