Chair of ASTTBC Foundation Announces Retirement from City of Coquitlam
Dan Mooney, AScT will be retiring later this month after 38 years in the Transportation Engineering Field. In 2015, Dan was appointed Manager of Transportation with the City of Coquitlam. With that appointment, Dan managed three functional areas: Traffic Operations, Transportation Planning, and Parking Management.
Dan is a BCIT Graduate (C&S Class of 1981) and after starting his career with the Ministry of Transportation he went on to serve six of the regions Municipalities (Coquitlam, Delta, North Vancouver District, Langley Township and City as well as Richmond).
Dan served as ASTTBC President from 1991-1993 and remains active in ASTTBC serving as Chair of the Foundation.
Dan and his wife Jackie have purchased property on the North Shore of Shuswap Lake and plan on building their Family Summer Retreat there this year.
