TechPRO: Ron North, AScT

Ron started his inspection career in 1979 as a building inspector, working nine years with the Capital Regional District. In 1988 he moved to the City of Victoria and was there 23 years as a building inspector, chief building inspector and manager of regulatory services. During his time at the city of Victoria he continued to pursue other education/certification opportunities.

In 1989 Ron completed the Welding Technology Program through the Welding Institute of Canada and subsequently became a certified welding inspector by the Canadian Welding Bureau. In 2009 he received a certificate in Local Government Administration from Capilano University. 2010 saw Ron become a member of ASTTBC as an applied science technologist (Building). Moving to the City of Colwood as an inspector in 2011, Ron currently continues his inspection work, albeit on a part-time basis.
