Community Science Celebration – Castlegar

Through an expanded partnership with Science World British Columbia, ASTTBC was invited to participate in the Community Science Celebration (CSC) in Castlegar on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 which culminated a week of science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and innovation activities taking place throughout the region.
The theme and highlight for this free event was for attendee’s to Discover the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Design and Math) all around them. Science World did this in part by inviting local organisations, businesses, schools and innovators who are involved in STEAM to showcase the many benefits their organisations bring to the community and the province.
Thank you Science World for the important work you do and for inviting ASTTBC to be there too! Our member volunteers enjoyed participating in your fabulous event. A BIG thank you to our wonderful volunteers: Wendy Castellanos, Patrice Lattanzio, Tony Noel, Richard Horney, Graham Wheating, Jason Rusu and Erynn Scaia for sharing their love of STEAM with their community.
“Your volunteers were awesome!”
