IMPORTANT REQUEST to ASTTBC Members in the RESOURCE SECTOR…

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT MATTER for members working in or providing service to the resource sector. The BC Government has initiated a review of ‘PROFESSIONAL RELIANCE’ and ASTTBC is fully engaged as one of the 5 named professional associations.

Part of the review includes a public engagement process to solicit feedback from a diverse group of stakeholders, including qualified professionals (QPs), those who use QPs in government and the private sector, and the general public, as to how the current professional reliance model is performing and to provide suggestions for possible enhancements or changes to the current model. To ensure that the feedback the Ministry receives is as robust as possible, YOUR ATTENTION and support is needed – by going online to complete the SURVEY, prior to January 26th, 2018. For more information about the survey request, please click here.

On behalf of ASTTBC, I will prepare a public information statement which will offer a number of suggestions designed to further enhance the current professional reliance model. This information will be posted to the designated web site before the end of December. You may find it beneficial to review the ASTTBC paper prior to completing the survey.

THANK YOU for your consideration of the BC Government request below. YOUR engagement will help frame changes to the current professional reliance model and make sure the voice of Technology Professionals is included.

IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, please send an email to techninfo@asttbc.org addressed to John Leech, ASTTBC CEO and we will get back to you as soon as possible.  Note that the ASTTBC office is closed from Dec 23 to January 1 inclusive.
IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS REGARDING THE SURVEY, they may be directed to citizonengagement@gov.bc.ca.
